Well, I'm back from SW Minnesota where we did our Xmas celebrations a week late, although I almost didn't make it back. The fam lives on a farm and the temps dropped to nearly 30 below Friday night so my poor little bug wouldn't start (not that I blame her, poor cold little thing *sadface*) Fortunately my dad is a car genius and figured out how to rig up some heaters to it to get it started...about 7 hours later, but she still started cos she's my Goojie and I wuv her.

Anyway, had a FANTASTIC time. Got the BEST surprise from Jakers - I was so surprised and touched that I started to cry (could also be the fact that I am making my massively hormonal way through one of the most horrific periods of my freakin' life. Ugh. But anyway...hormonal or no, I still would have cried buckets) At our new Twins baseball stadium - Target Field - they have a wall of Twins players (listing everyone that ever played as a Twin) and also an area that has plaques that you can buy and put names on, etc. So I open up Jaker's surprise present to find out that he bought one for me and put not only my name on it but my grandma's as well. That's what started the waterworks more than anything. My grammy is the reason I'm such a Twins fanatic. She loved the game and every. single. thing. about it. So many of my best memories revolve around watching/listening/going to baseball games with my grams and to see her name, to see "Ione" on a piece of Target Field to stand there as long as the stadium does just broke me down. I'm getting all teared up again just typing this. I can't even tell you the number of times I sat out on my grandparents' porch in the summer and listened to Twins games on their crackly radio as I shelled peas or watched lightning bugs come out. Baseball is my childhood, my memories, everything that is good and for him to buy me that?

I am blessed, that's all I'm gonna say.

Hey all - hope everyone's holiday weekend was good. Not much going on here since southwest Minnesota got hammered with snow and we decided to have our Xmas this coming weekend instead so no presents for Gigi yet. Woe. So sad :(

I hauled some stuff up to my sister's today and was going to stop at the cheaper theater that is on the way back from her place so I could see Sherlock Holmes. Well, one car accident on the freeway and you've got a 15 minute complete stop. Needless to say I missed the movie so I guess tomorrow is the day. I almost went to the 3D showing of Avatar instead but that wasn't starting for another 45 minutes. I WILL see that in 3D though, it's a must.

I've also added a guilty pleasure to my t.v. viewing - Gossip Girl. LOL. Oh, so much drama-rama. It's too much fun. Plus, omg, Blake Lively has the most gorgeous pair of boobs. Well, other than Katie McGrath from Merlin and the Legend of the Seeker ladies, but still, nommy boobies.

Yes. These are the things I pay attention to while watching t.v. - what? :)
